April 8, 2010, Beijing –ACEF Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Zeng Xiaodong today met with the Coordinator of UNEP China Office Mr. Zhang Shigang and the UNDP China Country Director Mr. Subinay Nandy.
　　The meeting was a follow up discussion concerning the meeting between ACEF Chairman Dr. Song Jian and the Resident Coordinator of United Nations China and Resident Representative of UNDP China Mr. Khalid Malik on March 24.
　　Mr. Zeng Xiaodong introduced to the UN officials the organizational structure of ACEF and the yearly launched brand programs, including the China International Forum on Environment and Development (CIFED), NGO Annual Meeting on Sustainable Development, the legal service provided for environment pollution victims, etc. Mr. Zeng Xiaodong also talked about the upcoming events of ACEF in 2010, including the general election of 2nd Board of Directors of ACEF, and the 6th CIFED, and so on. He sincerely hoped that these activities could gain support from UNDP and UNEP.

　　Mr. Subinay said he was impressed by ACEF’s work in the past years. UNDP would like to support the upcoming CIFED6 in aspects of technology and funding. He also expressed his interest in the NGO Annual meeting, indicating that UNDP could participate in from international dimension. Mr. Subinay provided suggestive opinions for the future work of ACEF, like applying for EU-China biodiversity program, etc. Mr. Zhang Shigang made very suggestive supplement for the conversation the ideas on future work. The two sides also had intentional discussion on the cooperation for All-China Green Forum at County Level, as well as the 2012 national environment report.

　　The ACEF Deputy Secretary General Mr. Guo Wenming and Mr. Feng Xiaoxing, Directors of International Cooperation Department and Forum, Exhibition and Publicity Department were also present at the meeting.
